Some Extra Desserts

As much as I enjoy creating fun and special cakes, I still get so much enjoyment out of baking simple, delicious, comforting sweets. Here are some pictures of some simple treats I made this last week.

Fudge Brownies...All you need is a nice tall glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee!




Rustic Cake for a friend.....Buttermilk cake with Lemon Curd filling and frosted with Coconut Cream Cheese frosting.





Also, I have been trying out some new recipes for our Mini Dessert Menu...basically taking some of my favorite desserts and seeing how they work out when creating them bite-size. One of my favorite pies is a Rich Chocolate Mousse pie with Chocolate Crumble crust and topped with Kahlua Espresso Whipped Cream.

Mini Desserts

Creating a Mini Dessert bar is one of my favorite menus to come up with. I love mini desserts, one small bite of goodness and then you move on to the next little bite. You can create such a fun look, colors, textures, smells, taste, and satisfy all palates. Red Velvet and Mini Lemon Drops

It's so fun taking surprise sweets to people! I love the reactions and delight in their voices when they see a variety of desserts sitting and waiting to be devoured. I took some cupcakes and Mini Lemon Drops to more of the nurses and doctors at Kaiser last week and they were enjoyed by all!
